I discovered a wonderful gem of a shop located in the south end of Boston. SAULT NEW ENGLAND, is chock full of traditional and casual menswear, gift items, and vintage findings. Friendly shop owner, Philip Saul, says his merchandise represents classic New England style with a good mix of ever changing vintage pieces he hand picks himself.
I loved browsing the entire shop and want to feature some of the Made in the USA vendors Philip carries.
To start, I love The New England Shirt Company, www.newenglandshirtco.com. Standing strong against overseas factories, The New England Shirt Company, has remained in continuous operation in Fall River, Massachusetts for the last 75 years!
Next up is Ivy Prepster, www.ivyprepster.com pocket squares. These stylish squares are made in the garment district of New York City.
With the resurgence of the prep movement these pocket squares add interest to a classic blue blazer or tweed jacket and at $34. make a great gift as well. Ivy Prepster has a full line of bow ties coming soon.
Next is Forage Haberdashery, www.foragehaberdashery.com made in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Handcrafted by the designer duo, Shauna & Stephen, in their Philadelphia studio (once a tire factory). They create traditional bow ties and skinny ties in the most delicious fabrics. Many are made with vintage remnants. They run between $74. and $84.
Nestled in a beautiful little mason box with contrast paper lining, the packaging also caught my attention since that too is made in the USA . The Mason Box Company, in Pawtucket Rhode Island makes everything in USA and uses 100% recycled cardboard. Now that’s a stylish box!
And I cant forget a few images of the ever changing vintage discoveries you will find at SAULT NEW ENGLAND.
